I have noticed that when I reject a thought, it may come back, and I can instantly catch it again and replace it with a more desirable idea.
I learn how to handle negative thoughts by asking myself why I should entertain these negative thoughts? Then I use positive self-talk to help me stay focused.
I ask myself if there is any evidence to support the adverse claim, release that negative thought and let go of the fear of the unknown.
What is important is that I learn every day, and there is always an opportunity to improve. Positive self-talk helps me stay focused on what is good, and I acknowledge my efforts to stay focused on the positive.
If I fall back into negativity, I remind myself that I can choose to refocus my attention and focus on the positive. I keep myself grounded through daily practices of gratitude and self-love.
I live in the present. I am grateful each day and pay close attention to the blessings in my life. I love myself for all that I have accomplished so far, and I celebrate what I already have today.
I have a choice to take advantage of opportunities. I have power over my destiny, control, and take ownership of my thoughts in the present moment.
Today, I see myself accomplishing great things. I feel confident in my abilities, and I am ready to accomplish anything.
Self-Reflection Questions:
1. What can I do to eliminate negative thinking in my life?
2. Which tools do I use to observe my thoughts?
3. How have I made progress this day, month, and year?
